Je věk limitací léčby metastatického karcinomu prostaty?

Medián věku mužů s karcinomem prostaty dosahuje 67,5 roků. Máme informace založené na důkazech z klinických studií o seniorech s metastatickým karcinomem prostaty. Věk samotný není kontraindikací k podání ARTA terapie (abirateron acetát + prednison, enzalutamid) a chemoterapie (docetaxel, cabazitaxel). Radium-223 je léčebnou variantou pro kostní metastázy. Všechny možné interakce léčby musí být monitorovány.
