Naše skúsenosti s ošetrením roztrhnutia veľkého prsného svalu

Autori prezentujú svoje skúsenosti s ošetrením roztrhnutia veľkého prsného svalu u pacientov Ortopedického oddelenia Nemocnice Košice-Šaca, a. s. za 5-ročné obdobie od 1. 1. 2008 do 31. 12. 2012. Uvádzajú historické fakty o tomto vzácnom type poranenia, nutnosť cielenej anamnézy, primeraného primárneho vyšetrenia, indikácie na doplňujúce zobrazovacie metódy. Pri správnej diagnostike zdôraz-ňujú aj vo svojom súbore primeranú chirurgickú liečbu s minimalizáciou trvalých následkov po poranení.

Our experience with the treatment of the rupture of pectoralis major muscl

The authors present their experience with the treatment of a pectoralis major muscle rupture in patients of the Orthopaedic Department of Košice-Šaca Hospital a.s. during the five-year period since January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2012. They state historical facts about this rare type of an injury,the necessity of targeted medical history, the necessity of an appropriate primary examination, as well as the indications for additional imaging techniques. In their work, along with accurate diagnosis they also emphasize the appropriate surgical treatement with the minimalization of permanent effects after the injury.
