Prínos pedopsychologického vyšetrenia pri indikácii kochleárnej implantácie

V kazuistike referujeme o 3,5-ročnom dievčatku s obojstrannou ťažkou chronickou senzorineurálnou poruchou sluchu, kandidátke na kochleárnu implantáciu. Pri pedopsychologickom vyšetrení sme sa zamerali na zhodnotenie intelektového profilu pacienta a posúdenie rodinného zázemia uchádzača o kochleárnu implantáciu. V závere pojednávame o význame faktorov, ktoré z psychologického hľadiska pozitívne vplývajú na proces následnej rehabilitácie.

Benefit of pedopsychological examination in indication of cochlear implantation

In the case report, we report on a 3.5-year-old girl with bilateral severe chronic sensorineural hearing loss, a candidate for cochlear implantation. As part of the pedopsychological examination, we focused on evaluating the patient’s intellectual profile and assessing the applicant’s family background. Finally, we discuss the importance of factors that, from a psychological point of view, have a positive effect on the process of subsequent rehabilitation.
