Umístění jednoho anebo obou životních partnerů-seniorů do zdravotnického zařízení anebo do zařízení sociální péče může vést k dlouhodobému či doživotnímu odloučení. Autoři uvádějí tři kazuistiky ze zařízení hospicové paliativní péče, kde se po řadě měsíců nucené izolace podařilo seniorské páry sloučit a umožnit jim společně strávit poslední období života. Autoři diskutují o morálních aspektech nuceného odloučení seniorských párů.

Do health care institutions respect matrimonial or other forms of partnership of the senior people?

Setting of the one or both of the senior partners to the health care or social care institution can cause their long time or everlasting separation. Authors introduce three case reports from the hospice, where after months of involuntary separation the senior partners were joined together to enable them to spend their last period of the life without unfavourable isolation. Authors debate about moral aspects of the senior partners involuntary separation.
