Zámerom tohto prehľadového článku je v skratke priblížiť komplexnosť popáleninového úrazu a náročnosť jeho liečby. Dôraz kladieme na prednemocničnú, preväzovú starostlivosť a tekutinovú resuscitáciu, s ktorou sa môžu najčastejšie stretnúť lekári rôznych odborností na urgentných príjmoch alebo lôžkach oddelení anestéziológie a intenzívnej medicíny. Na záver apelujeme na odbornú verejnosť s potrebou konzultácie prípadov popálenín, ktoré sa má sústreďovať do popáleninových centier a má oporu v legislatíve Slovenskej republiky.
Burns – diagnosis, initial treatment, treatment
The purpose of this review article is to briefly describe the complexity of burn injury and the difficulty of its treatment. We emphasize pre-hospital, dressing care and fluid resuscitation, with which doctors of various specialties in emergency department or intensive care unit can most often encounter. In conclusion, we appeal to the professional public with the need for consultation of burn cases, which should be concentrated in burn centres and has a basis in the legislation of the Slovak Republic.
