Direkcionálna aterektómia v liečbe kalcifikovaných lézií artériového systému dolných končatín

Direkcionálna aterektómia predstavuje významnú endovaskulárnu techniku v terapii komplexných kalcifikovaných lézií. Pri aterektómii dochádza k odstráneniu aterosklerotického plátu, čím sa zabezpečuje príprava cievy pred samotnou angioplastikou a tým znižuje riziko vzniku disekcie a reziduálnej stenózy spojených s potrebou implantácie stentu, čo minimalizuje riziko včasného a neskorého zlyhania endovaskulárnej terapie.

Directional atherectomy in the treatment of calcified lesions of the arterial system of the lower limbs

Directional atherectomy represents an important endovascular technique in the therapy of complex calcified lesions. During atherectomy, the atherosclerotic plaque is removed, which ensures the preparation of the vessel before the angioplasty itself and thereby reduces the risk of dissection and residual stenosis associated with the need for stent implantation, which minimizes the risk of early and late failure of endovascular therapy.
