Liečebné možnosti kmeňových buniek

Transplantácia kmeňových buniek za účelom urýchlenia hojenia je čoraz častejšie aplikovaná v klinických štúdiách. U niektorých pacientov prináša výrazný benefit oproti štandardnej liečbe. Napriek aplikácii tejto metódy v praxi doteraz nie sú opísané výrazné vedľajšie účinky a komplikácie a dosiaľ nám nie sú jasné všetky mechanizmy a efekty liečby. Práca sa zaoberá súčasnou úrovňou poznania a aplikácie kmeňových buniek v liečbe. V práci sú opísané charakteristické vlastnosti kmeňových buniek a bunkovej terapie, ich funkcie, rôzne spôsoby izolácie kmeňových buniek a ich využitie v rôznych odvetviach medicíny.

The use of stem cells for therapy

Transplantation of stem cells of enhancement healing is frequently used in clinical studies nowadays. It brings great benefit compare to standard treatment in few cases. Despite of application of this method in praxis, there are not described side effects and complications. All of the mechanism and effects of this treatment are not clear. The article describes level of knowledge and application of stem cells in treatment. The article entertains about specific facilities of stem cells and cell therapy, their function, different ways of isolation and their use in different fields of medicine.
