Závratové stavy u ľudí vyššieho veku

Vertigo, loss of balance and loss of orientation in the space are considered to be some of the most unpleasant symptoms. These symptoms occur in every age group, almost every person experience them during lifetime, in elderly they are frequent. As the population ages, more patients with this problems come to the office of our general practitioners. This work is not aimed to cover all the field of vestibular problems, it wants to be an outlined manual for general practitioners and family medicine specialists. The term „vertigo“ is beeing categorized, this categorization serves as a manual for history and diagnostic procedures needed for diagnostics and treatment of vertigo. Authors also draw attention to the rehabilitation and psychotherapy in the treatment of elderly vertiginous patient.
