ARE THE PROBLEMS OF THE TREATMENT OF PEPTIC ULCER DISEASE 23 YEARS AFTER DISCOVERING HELICOBACTER PYLORI SOLVED?

Peptic ulcer disease is well known from the ancient times. It was, however, the isolation of H. pylori and its identification as the most important cause of peptic ulcer disease that lead us to understanding those problem. We are able cure successfully peptic ulcer disease more than 20 years. Despite of this at present, there are several management issues that need to be solved. In this publication I try to highlight some of them most important in daily practice of general practitioner.
