PSORIASIS – NEWS IN PATHOGENESIS AND THERAPY

Psoriasis is a common disease, affecting skin, nails and joints. Affection of the mucous membrane or structures of the eye is rare. There are many clinical forms ranging from mild types of the disease to severe erythrodermias and pustulous rashes. Therapy je complicated and depends on the age of the patient and type of the disease. External dermatotherapy, internal pharmacotherapy and phototherapy, all have beneficial effects on psoriasis. Combined treatment regiments and rotation therapy are very efficient.
