Medical assessment of health status in relation to work

In order to elaborate a medical assessment of health status in relation to work, according to the principles of lege artis, the doctor should have some specific skills. Most important include knowledge of up to date legislation, overview of work and work environment factors, and mastering the content of check-ups in relation to work. Properly maintained documentation is the proof of job well done and a mean of legal protection, especially if the assessed does not approve the conclusion of the assessment. The purpose of this article is to clarify the issue of assessing health condition in relation to work to general practitioners.
