The role of targeted therapy in the treatment of renal cell carcinoma
In the treatment of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (RCC) has been achieved a big breakthrough in the recent years. Within a short time were published outcomes of various clinical studies proving the effectiveness of the new biological agents (targeted therapy) in the treatment of RCC. Treatment options for RCC have been until now extremely limited and not effective, therefore there are big expectations regarding new biological treatment for RCC. Currently there is no doubt that the targeted therapy is a great contribution, although some of the expectations would not probably be fulfilled.
