PERIODONTAL DISEASES
Periodontal diseases, which are the second most common cause of teeth loss, remains a challenging medical problem. It is a disease of tooth-supporting tissues. The most frequent ethiology is an inflammatory process caused by bacterial strains which are contained in the dental plaque. Periodontal diseases are associated with different systemic diseases. The cooperation of stomatologists and general practitioners, who have the best information on patients’ health status, is irreplaceable in diagnostics and treatment of these diseases.
