Periodontal disease as symptom of systemic disorders
Gingivitis or periodontitis can be the first symptom of some systemic disorders of organism. The examination of the periodontal tissues can be of cardinal importance in diagnosing or can help to distinguish other pathologic conditions. The aim of the article is to bring a brief overview how systemic disease can influence the periodontium.
