GASTROESOPHAGEAL REFLUX DISEASE
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is one of the most common diagnosis in daily practice. Diagnosis can be made on symptom evaluation, on endoscopic findings at esophagogastroduodenoscopy or pH-monitoring. Management of GERD is aimed at reducing oesophageal acid exposure, healing lesions in the distal part of the esophagus and to achieve symptom relief.
