DIAGNOSTICS AND THERAPY OF PAINFUL MUSCLE SPASM IN DISEASES OF VERTEBRAL COLUMN
Painful muscle spasms present reflex action, that is a component of the diseases of vertebral column. The main aim of the therapy is breaking of spasm-pain-spasm cycle, which shortens patients disability. We can use pharmacotherapy and rehabilitation techniques. Evidence based medicine supports suggestion that muscle relaxants are available for short-term use in acute back pain.
