Acute microsurgical and endovascular treatment of bleeding cerebral aneurysms in poor grade patients
The clinical condition of patients with a ruptured brain aneurysm is characterized by a wide spectrum of symptoms, including mild headaches, decreased level of consciousness and sudden death. The prognosis of the disease is determined by several factors, with the initial clinical status being one of the most important predictor. Patients in an overall bad initial condition are reffered to as so-called „poor grade“ patients. Due to unfavorable prognosis and high perioperative risks, a conservative approach has traditionally been recommended for this group of patients. In the presented work, the authors report the results of early microsurgical and endovascular treatment for a group of „poor grade“ patients.
