Vulvovaginitides for urogynaecologists
The review article deals with the aetiology, diagnosis, and treatment of vulvovaginal discomfort (vulvovaginitides) and its urological sequelae which, however, are minimal. Described in more detail are vulvovaginitides of viral origin (molluscum contagiosum, genital herpes, condylomata acuminata) and vulvovaginitides “in the traditional sense of the word” (trichomoniasis, lactobacillosis, anaerobic vaginosis, aerobic vaginitis, atrophic vaginitis).
