Tumours of adrenal glands in practise and their treatment
Disease of adrenal glands can be met in daily practise of an urologist whereas his or her role is significant within multidiscipline cooperation with, in particular, a radiologist and endocrinologist. Nowadays, determination of the main diagnosis can be more effective thanks to more available displaying and laboratory examination methods. Consequently, this also contributes to a better subsequent solution in a form of monitoring, pharmacotherapy or a surgical solution. Given that the common findings of examination are incidentalomes of adrenal glands, in particular, an experienced radiologist is necessary for successful diagnosis of a possible malignant potential of tumour of adrenal glands made by displaying methods. In addition, an endocrinologist has also an irreplaceable role because he or she contributes to diagnosis by examination of hormonal activity.
