Antiseptic mixture (chlorhexidine, hexamidine and chlorcresol) in clinical practice
Antiseptics are used extensively in hospitals and other health care settings. Antiseptics are products that destroy or inhibit the growth of microorganisms in or on living tissue. We discusse mechanisms of action, posology and advers events of the micture, which contains three different antiseptic agents (chlorhexidine, hexamidine and chlorcresol).We can use this mixture for the cleansing of primary bacterial, viral and fungal skin and mucosal disorders, and those liable to become superinfected.
