Foreign body was extracted during laryngoscopy in general anesthesia transorally through laceration of pharynx. Subsequently cervical mediastinotomy was performed. Spreading of inflammation distally in mediastinum required mediastinotomy from thoracotomy also. Authors emphasise the necessity of early and careful localization of foreign body and its extraction.
