Successful extirpation of large metastatic retroperitoneum tumor
The authors present successful secondary surgical treatment of metastatic formation in a patient after extirpation of the right ovary for dysgerminoma. Despite the excessive size of the advanced metastatic retroperitoneum tumor, with the abdominal aorta and the lower vena cava, the surgical technique and tactics being removed, the seemingly nonresecabile tumors can also be removed. Thorough, precise and strict preoperative diagnosis is of strategic importance. Preoperatively, distant, especially pulmonary and liver metastases must be excluded. It is then important to remove the primary tumor or solitary metastasis. This has the greatest impact on long-term survival in combination with oncotherapy after histological verification of the removed tumor.
