Acute renal insufficiency in surgical patients
Acute renal failure complicates care for surgical and trauma patients. It occurs mainly in patients with severe trauma, burns, sepsis and acute abdomen associated with hypovolemia. Despite the efforts devoted to the study of acute renal failure there is no uniform consensus on its definition. The problem with the current diagnosis of acute renal insufficiency is often diagnosed late camping and severity of decline in renal function, as conventionally used markers are not sufficiently sensitive and specific. Subject of intense research is the compilation of the panel of new biomarkers, which, together with other clinical parameters enable early and accurate diagnosis.
Keywords: acute renal insufficiency, risk factors, new biomarkers.
