Acute calculous cholecystitis with gross anatomic anomaly of the liver
Acute calculous cholecystitis should be regarded as a case of acute abdomen. Nowadays it is not a rare indication for urgent surgical intervention. Anatomic variations of vascular supply or biliary tree are not seldom. Gross anatomic anomalies of the liver itself are very occasional, but could participate in an increased risk of perioperative complications. Authors present case of the patient with acutae calculous cholecystitis and serious left liver lobe hypertrophy with malposition of the parenchyma and vascular supply. Surgery was complicated with the bile tree injury, primary solved by suture. Afterwards postoperative complications, leak of the bile and stenosis of the bile tree were managed in cooperation with interventional gastroenterologist neccessitating some improvisation due the anatomy.
