Bipolar disorder and cognitive dysfunctions
The article provides a brief overview of the current research, the direction of the trials and their current knowledge from the field of cognitive dysfunctions as promising „inside phenotypes“ for bipolar disorder. Cognitive deficits are unquestionably present not only in patients with bipolar disorder, but also for their healthy relatives and thus these deficiencies are not secondary effects of failure. Therefore, we should be regarded as a source of valuable information on the possibilities of the predisposition for the bipolar disorder.
