The quality of life of patients suffering from pain
Pain can be classified as one of the most unpleasant feelings that accompany us in life. The first pain undoubtedly comes with the growth of the first teeth and we feel it until old age. We can experience pain momentarily, for some it can develop into chronic pain. Every pain affects our mood, daily functioning and undoubtedly also the people around us. Nowadays, there are several pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches that are indicated for pain therapy. The main goal of our research was to analyze the quality of life of patients suffering from chronic pain. Among the secondary objectives, we included a comparison of the perception of chronic pain in patients across different ages, a comparison of the perception of chronic pain in men and women, the impact of chronic pain on activities of daily life, the psychological health of the patient, and last but not least, the analysis of the effect of pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment in patients suffering from chronic pain.
