The incidence of pneumococcal pneumonia in hospitalized patients at present
In the article is presented analysis of data in 27 children aged 1-5 years, hospitalized in 2012-2014 with a diagnosis of bronchopneumonia. Since 2009 has been using vaccination 7 and then 10 and 13 valent pneumococcal vaccine. The goal of this article was to determine, if vaccination altered the proportion of pneumococcal infections in hospitalized patient. Incidence of bacterial pneumonia was 40% in a set, of which more than half are pneumococcal (25-30%). Pneumonias associated with confirmation of Streptococcus pneumoniaeare jointed with the longest hospitalization, presence of serious complications, requiring the use oxygen therapy and hospitalization in the ICU department. Pneumococcal pneumonia represent 2/3 of the total number pneumonia treated in a hospital environment.
