Targeted biologic therapies and related side effects in most common cancers
Targeted biologic therapy is a new treatment modality for different cancers. It is used more frequently and successfully in more and more patients. As these patients live longer, palliative care physicians and nurses will be more often involved in care about those who are or have been treated with targeted therapies. An overview of targeted agents used for three most common cancers – colorectal, breast and lung – is given in this article.
