Antibiotics in palliative hosp
Although the provision of antibiotics in palliative hospice care is very common, its indications have hitherto not been subject to any guidelines. A brief overview of common approaches in this field of care provision is given. Despite conflicting opinions on the suitability of providing antibiotics, situations can be defined in which there are convincing benefits of doing so, and which will lead to the increased comfort of the seriously ill patient.
