Management of sequential and combined treatment of a patient with metastatic prostate cancer
Objective: The aim of this case report is to present the situation and possibilities of a patient with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer gradually progressing clinically, biochemically and radiologically. Case: Describes the course of treatment of a patient with prostate cancer from the moment of his (late) diagnosis, gradually through numerous palliative treatment modalities, which undoubtedly significantly prolonged his life and delayed the unpleasant symptoms of the disease. Conclusion: The decision to initiate the individual treatment modalities is the subject of recommendations of a multidisciplinary team, and the final decision of the patient. It is imperative to take into account the patient‘s overall condition, performance score, as well as his wishes in terms of impacting his quality of life, and also the risks he is willing to take. After standard medical procedures have been exhausted, further treatment must be individualized.
