Indications of venous access devices in oncology
The majority of anticancer therapy is administered intravenously. For its´delivery we need to provide adequate and safe intravenous access. A wide variety of peripheral and central venous access devices is available. This article describes features of individual venous access devices and a provides a guideline for choosing the most appropriate venous access device in individual patient.
