A probe into the history of professional dermatoses in eastern Slovakia (memories of 60th-80th years)

The problems of occupational dermatoses had been studied not only in the past- in the early industrialisation of Slovakia-but it has been highly relevant even now, in the era of automotive industry. Oil products in the post-war period were among the main causes of skin diseases in Slovak industry. Polychlorinated biphenyls have caused damage not only to the skin, but also too many serious diseases of the human body. We could observe it especially in the eastern part of Slovakia. And we can say that they are dangerous even today. A lot of outstanding dermatologists in Slovakia had participated in solving the serious problems of skin dermatoses during the period of sixties and seventies in the last century.
