Onychodystrophy, psoriatic onychodystrophy, treatment possibilities

Onychodystrophy becams common reason for consulting a dermatologist recently. Appearance of the nail plates is often neglect and is not used as a diagnostic tool, nevertheless that alterated nails are present in a number of cutaneous or systemic diseases. Perhaps the most common are the brittle nails, characterized by increased fragility of the nail plate. Nail abnormalities are found in almost 50% of patients with skin psoriasis and may be the first manifestation of the disease. In the treatment of onychodystrophy is essential to eliminate inducing causes, general approaches in nail care, finally treatment itself.
