Androgenetic alopecia and current treatment options
Androgenetic alopecia is the most common cause of hair loss among men and women. Its formation is based on genetic predispositions, influence of androgenes, age and blood supply to hair follicles. Clinical image has characteristics of hair thinning in the area of upper part of scalp, women’s accompanying symptoms may be excessive pubes as well as syndrom of polycystic ovaries. In most cases, it has a negative impact on one’s psychical health. When treating, not only antiandrogenes and other medicaments are used, but mesotherapy and surgeries are too.
