THE EXPERIENCES WITH CICLESONID DURING THE TREATMENT OF ASTHMA BRONCHIALE
The authors of this paper focus on the bronchial asthma as a chronic inflammatory disease of the respiratory system. The prevalence has been increasing for the last hundred years in five percent for the adult population and ten percent for children. New knowledge of the pathophysiology of inflammation of the disease has affected the opinion on treatment, which should lead to an improvement in the patient´s condition. The emphasis is placed on the inhaled corticosteroids when taken separately or in combination with the bronchodilatators. The new corticosteroid ciclesonid is the molecule which fulfils the criteria for the ideal inhaled corticosteroid. Asthma Bronchial asthma and its treatment represent the serious medical problem all over the world. The success of the treatment is closely connected with the highly qualified medical staff, the informed and compliant patients and informed public. This treatment requires complete doctor´s and patient´s cooperation, optimal treatment is tailored to the patient´s needs.
