BASIC PRINCIPLES OF MODERN WOUND TREATMENT

Wet treatment of the wound can reliable absorb all excrets, can prevent maceration and irritation of wound adges and added substances has analgesic and desinfection effect. Granulation and epitelisation proces could be stimulated. The ethiological treatment has the priority by venous (antireflux and compression) and ischemic (revascularisation) ulcers. Repeated biopsy is needed if ulcer does not respond to local treatment. Medical and antidiabetic treatment is conditio sine qua non.
