Cancer survivors after successful oncological treatment in general practitioner`s office

Because of growing population of cancer survivors, general practitioners are increasingly becoming the main providers of long-term follow-up care after successful oncological treatment. There is an increasing need to enhance awareness about comprehensive cancer survivorship care, late toxicity and about complexity of the issue. This review article provides an overview of the most frequent problems, long-term effects of cancer treatment and guidance about follow-up care.
