TAKAYASU´S ARTERITIS
Takayasu´s arteritis is a primary systemic vasculitis with unknown origin. The disease occurs especially in young women – age between 10. – 25. years. There are two clinical stages of the disease – 1. early inflammatory stage and 2. chronic occlusive stage. In the treatment corticosteroids and/or immunosuppressive agents are used for suppresion of the inflammation.
