Actual knowledges of psoriatic arthritis

Psoriatic arthritis is a systemic inflammatory disease from the group of seronegative spondylarthritis, which primarily affects the joints, and is typically associated with psoriasis. It is a disease that significantly affects the quality of life of patients and worsens morbidity and mortality. Psoriatic arthritis primarily affects the skin and joints, but also can have extraarticular manifestations, which in many cases are not minor. Adequate and effective treatment prevents irreversible articular changes including severe deformities and significantly improves the quality of life.
