MANAGEMENT OF PATIENTS AFTER CORONARY REVASCULARISATION PROCEDURES: GENERAL PRACTITIONER`S

Revascularisation procedures are only one of the phases of treatment within the complexity of the course, development and treatment of atherotrombosis of the heart. Thus, longterm complex pharmacological treatment and non-pharmacological care, with participation of cardiologist, internist and general practitioner, are very important in management of these patients. This article brings some important informations for general practitioners on the longterm care for patients after percutanneous coronary intervention or aortocoronary bypass operations. It emphasizes the antithrombotic therapy and treatment strategy B.A.S.I.C. (B: betablocker, A:antiaggregation therapy, S: statin, I: angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor, C: risk factors control.
