SECONDARY HORMONAL OSTEOPOROSIS
Osteoporosis is clearly defined metabolic bone disease with multifactorial etiology. If taken widely from pathophysiological point of view, osteoporosis is one of the most prevalent endocrine disorders. Generally, any hormonal deficiency or on the contrary hormonal excess can cause the secondary hormonal osteoporosis. After characteristics of the most frequent endocrine disorders associated with osteoporosis (hyperparathyrodism, endogenous and exogenous hypercortisolism, hypogonadism) authors pay attention also to less frequent disorders (growth hormone deficiency, diabetes mellitus).
