Primary hyperparathyroidism – case report
Primary hyperparathyroidism does not belong to diseases which a general practitioner meets very often. It arises from long-term parathormone hyperproduction. Hypercalcemia, as a leading laboratory sign, accompanies different diseases, including the malignant ones. After discovery of hypercalcemia, the most important differential diagnostic parameter, that could lead to other diagnostic reflections, is the serum parathormone level.
