PHP stapler method for treatment of hemorrhoids

Author describes the surgical method for hemorrhoid and anorectal mucosa prolapse treatment using PPH stapler, which is generally accepted today. The basic principle of this procedure is reduction of arterial flow and blood supply in hemorrhoid site and removal of mucosa and submucosal tissue over linea dentata aimed at repair of mucosa prolapse. PPH stapler method is indicated for hemorrhoids clinical stage III and IV. Contraindications include acute and chronic inflammations in perianal region, stenoses and some complications of hemorrhoidal disease. The benefit of the operation with PPH stapler for the patient encompasses minimal pain, quick recovery, and short hospitalization. The randomized comparative studies with classic operations have proven safety and effectiveness of this method in approved indications.
