CHRONIC VENOUS INSUFICIENCY FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF A ANGIOSURGEON
Surgical treatment plays a dominant role in the therapy of the chronic venous insuficiency. Removal of the dysfunctional, varicous superficial venous system eliminates venous reflux and venous hypertension, the cause of the dystrophic changes on the lower limbs. Most of the surgical interventions on the venous system are the surgeries of varicous veins and insuficient perforators. Sclerotisation is one of possible interventions in different stages of varices of lower limbs. The most serious condition of the CHVI is still the venous ulcer, requiring complex attitude.
