Osteomalacia and rickets
Osteomalacia and rickets belonged for long time to the rare diseases. In connection with raising world pandemia of vitamin D deficiency knowledge on them are to be renewed. Main clinical features of osteomalacia include bone pain and deformities, muscular hypotonia and fatigue. In children growth retardation and bone enlargement in sites of growth plates are added. For therapy of these diseases vitamin D, calcium and phoshorus in special forms are recommended.
