News in the education of general practitioners
Postgraduate education in the specialization field of General Medicine has undergone changes in recent times. Their aim is to solve the problem of lack of quality young first contact doctors as well as changes in their competencies. The changes affected the scope and content of studies in individual departments and outpatient clinics without changing the total length of study, which remains 3 years and the possibility of training in this specialization for physicians with at least 5 years education in specialization in internal medicine and anesthesiology and intensive care.
