Necrobiosis lipoidica
Necrobiosis lipoidica is an uncommon granulomatous skin disease of unknown origin, often associated with diabetes mellitus. Necrobiosis lipoidica may occur at any age, but most commonly appears in third and fourth decades. Most commonly appears on the shins. Most of the patients are females. The paper deals with the basic clinical presentation of necrobiosis lipoidica and current diagnostic and therapeutic options.
