THE MOST FREQUENT HAIR DISEASES – DIAGNOSIS AND THERAPY
The purpose of the hair is to protect but they are also the expression of personality. Hair and scalp diseases are frequent but, nevertheless they are not life threatening, the alterations of the hair very often have great concern to the patient´s life. Between most frequent quantitative changes of the hair we can find Alopecia androgenetica, Alopecia diffusa, Alopecia areata and Dermatitis seborrhoica, between hair shaft alterations it is Trichorrhexis nodosa and Trichonodosis. The diagnosis of common diseases is not difficult but the therapy is not always succesfull. In the article I don´t deal with inflammatory or congenital diseases of the scalp, neither tumours of the pilosebaceous follicle.
