DIAGNOSTIC AND TREATMENT POSSIBILITIES OF DEPRESSION IN GP PRACTICE
Depression is a common psychiatric disorder with important medical and economic consequences. Despite the differences in organizations of the health systems, world wide there are frequent difficulties in recognizing and treating depression. Variability of clinical manifestation and course make it difficult for the patient and the general practicioner to recognise depression. Using microcases we demonstrate the diagnosis of the most common types of depression. We are introducing screening methods as well as recommendations for gerneral and concrete principles for treatment with anidepressants.
