POSSIBILITY USING OF MAMMOGRAPHY FOR PRACTICS DOCTORS

Mammography is an X-ray procedure for examination of breast. Mammography screenings aims to reduce morbidity and mortality from breast cancer by early detection and treatment. Sensitivity of mammography is around 90 percent. Preventive mammography increase the detectionclinicaly latent lesions with asymtomatic women, meanwhile with patients classified as higher risk women, we use mammography for diagnosis. Both primary care physicians and specialist physicians should encourage their patients to have routine mammography: a recommandation from physician is the most important motivator for patients. The article reviews data on incidence and mortality rates from breast cancer, united system of evaluation of mammographoc screenings, types of mammographic images and emphasis on particular groups of patients.
